A Viewpoint


 

In the 1960's education was telling the  information

and testing was to see if the students remembered what they were told.


Today, to prevent creating 'sheep children' that follow

a leader without thinking,

class lessons are based on thinking

and student learning teams.


Memorization expands to analyzing and evaluating

 new information for implications.

True learning was happening.


When children learn independently, authentic -true learning - is achieved.

This is the renaissance. Returning to tried and true methods of education

To Reestablish the Educational Techniques of the Past


From children to adults, from one-on-one tutoring to large group presentations,

everyone wants to be participate in their learning.

That was the key to my career.

Let the learner do the learning.

Let the teacher be the facilitator.
