Citizenship

Obtaining the Blue Card and using it to gain permanent

work status does not lead, in fact, does not allow the

recipient to gain citizenship. Ever. There is no Citizenship Path.

Right to Vote

Without citizenship, the right to vote is waived.

 Right to Work: Taxes and Social Security

The recipient gains the right to work and

the responsibility to pay taxes.

The work status is as it exists in law now.

 Social Security payments must be

 matched by the employer or the self-employment payment to

Social Security is in force.

Renewable

The Blue Card is renewable based on the behaviors of the

recipient. Rules are the same as now exist

under the green card.
