Issues

Some of the issues to be addressed by the Blue Card are:



Citizenship: Obtaining this card and using it to gain permanent

work status would not lead, in fact, would not allow the

recipient to gain citizenship. There is no Citizen Path.

Right to Vote: Without citizenship the right to vote would be

waived as well.

 Right to Work: The recipient would have the right to work and

the responsibility to pay taxes as well. The work status would

be as it exists in law now. Social Security funds would of course

be matched or the self-employment tax would be in force.

Renewable The Blue Card would be renewable pending the behavior of the

recipient. Rules would be the same as now exist.
